Author of the upcoming PROTOCOL 66. Woohoo!
I'm James, an aspiring developer that is probably 75% the way through his first real standalone project. I just started this account and the project "teasers" on here so I don't really know how Itch.io works yet, but I plan to prioritize working on this site over the coming week.
Since the game is my first horror game, I plan to release the "beta" free here. Its "Alpha" will debut on the Unity.play site (free as well), and I have been interested in selling the final version(s) of Steam for maybe $3 USD, but it's the first game! My greed knows no bounds oof.
If you are interested in what I can do then you can play my "first public game" here on Unity.play. It was spawned by the tutorial I closely followed and learned from, but the title scene, checkpoints (and checkpoint flag spites & animations), "camera respawn panning", the level design itself, signs, life system, extra "sprite anticipation," and a few more things I can't think about were things I implemented. It's a short HTML5 Unity game that if you play, I hope you will enjoy!
Visual progress, such as models and sounds are posted here on a dedicated Twitter account for those interested.
